Dale Carnegie's quote made me think of some points in my life. Some things that I had to do this week was study for my Anatomy test and make sure I was caught up with all of my work in Personal Finance. Dale says how you have to give your best to the small jobs, and he is right. Doing class work does not seem like a big task, but it adds up if it is not done and it kills you in the long run. If I stay up to task on my class work, then I am likely to be on top of bigger things. In the next couple of months, I need to finish applying to colleges and make my decision on where I want to go, which is scary but I can overcome it. Dale Carnegie was an American writer and lecturer. He was the developer of famous courses of self-improvement.
Looking at the heart, a lot of the words relate to my life. As for the love side, passion, memories, and happiness relate to me. I have a lot of passion for basketball, I am making many good memories my senior year, and my friends and family bring me a lot of happiness. As for the hate side, fear and doubt relate to me. Sometimes I fear about to future and growing up. As for doubt, a lot of people doubt my basketball team and our ability, but I am confident we are getting better and will be able to prove ourselves.
Les Brown's speech was very inspiring and made me think of the goals I have set for myself. For short-term goals, I want to finish senior year with all A's and stay on top of my hybrid work. I also want to keep positive when it comes to basketball. For long-term, my goals are to attended a good university and maintain good grades. Another goal is to become a nurse and be financially stable and independent person. I like the point he proves where most people fail because they aim too low. I never thought of it that way, but I agree.
