Michigan is ranked number 1 for unemployment. I searched for a position at Dick's Sporting Goods for my job. I found it pretty easy because there are different positions available, such as apparel associate, footwear sales, and bike technician. Also, you do not need any special degrees in school to obtain a job at Dick's. For my career, I researched Registered Nurse openings at St. John hospital. This was a lot harder. There are nurses for everything, so it got confusing. Also, you must have certain degrees in school to obtain a job. Finding a career is a lot harder then it seems.
The title of this article is Teacher Defends Insulting Blog Posts About Her Students: 'I Hear the Trash Company is Hiring. Andrea Canning and Olivia Katrandjian are the authors. This article is about Natalie Munroe. Natalie is a teacher and she created a blog saying nasty things about her students. She posted comments such as “A complete and utter jerk in all ways” and “I hear the trash company is hiring.” I think what Natalie did was very wrong. Teachers are supposed to be positive influences for their students. Going behind a student’s back and saying rude things about them could cause many issues. I know someone who could have had a great opportunity to move up on a sports team. The person got mad because someone else got the opportunity before they did. She posted some mean comments online, and it somehow got back to the coach. The person no longer had the opportunity. This information will benefit me a lot in the future. If I had a bad day at work, I’ll remember this topic and not say anything bad on the internet knowing my boss could see it. I will think twice before I post anything on the internet to make sure it is appropriate. This relates to chapter 6 because this chapter focuses on applying for jobs. I want to have a good impression, but having inappropriate posts on social networks will not help. Once it is on the internet, it’s there, so I have to be careful. definitions: egregious (http://definr.com/egregious) adj : conspicuously and outrageously bad or reprehensible; "a crying shame"; "an egregious lie"; "flagrant violation of human rights"; "a glaring error"; "gross ineptitude"; "gross injustice"; "rank treachery" [syn: crying(a), flagrant, glaring, gross, rank] termination (http://definr.com/termination) n 1: a coming to an end of a contract period; "the expiry of his driver's license" [syn: expiration, expiry] 2: the act of ending something; "the termination of the agreement" [syn: ending, conclusion] I have a lot of online presence when I search my name on Google. My Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook show up. Also, there are some pictures of me. If someone searched me, I think they would think I'm a good person. I keep my social networking sites clean. They won't find any bad pictures of me. Also, a few online school projects and my Weebly site pops up if someone searches me, so they can see that I am a productive person in school. I agree 100% with John Tapene's words. I think his words are fair. I do not think teenagers are leaving a positive stamp on the world. A lot are taking advantage of their parents and making bad choices, such as drinking and smoking. I am trying my best to leave a positive stamp. I try to always make the right choice and not take advantage of my parents. When I get older I want to become a nurse. You should become a nurse because you have the opportunity to save lives everyday! There is never a dull moment when you are a nurse, especially if you work in the emergency room. Lastly, you get the satisfaction of knowing you cured someone and that they are all better because of you! |
