My Eighth grade history teacher taught a really cool lesson. We were learning about trade routes and certain things that people would trade a long time ago. We each had to bring in something we wouldn’t mind trading; I brought in a bag of Cheez-it’s. Everyone in the class had to trade what they had, and in the end some people had really cool things, and others, not so much. I liked this lesson because it shows that life is not fair. Not everyone was satisfied in the end, but we learned more about trade without boring book work.
An impressive presentation I completed this year is my Greek God project in English class. It was a 100 point project, and I earned an A+. I worked really hard on it and also dressed up as my Greek God for extra credit. I learned all about the Greek God Dionysus. Also, if you want a good grade, you have to work really hard and put a lot of effort into your work. I really liked this story. It’s amazing how a girl from the opposite team decided to help, even if it meant losing and being eliminated. I am disappointed that the headline found their behavior to be unbelievable. Yes, it was unexpected, but in a good way. I feel unbelievable is the wrong word to use. The girl did the right thing and showed a crazy amount of sportsmanship. I would not want an elephant’s memory because there are some things in my life that I don’t want to remember. An elephant remembers most things and if they can’t do something when they are little, they remember it. Even if they can do it later in life, they won’t even attempt it due to memory. I don’t think anyone should refuse to attempt something they want to do just because of they’re memory. The most memorable memory I have is my last basketball game in seventh grade. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were against Pierce middle school and it was the last minute of the game. My team was down by one point. I got the ball and went in for a layup. I didn’t think it was going in because I wasn’t to good at layups at the time, but it did! Plus, I got fouled so I got to shoot a free throw. We ended up winning that game and my whole team was so happy! It was a great way to end the season. |
