This week I read an article by Mitch Albom about Mike Ilitch. Mike Illitch was a Detroit icon who just recently passes away.He did way more than own the Red Wings, Tigers and Little Caesars Pizza. He genuinely cared for his sports teams and the city of Detroit. Because of Ilitch, Detroit is lit up by Comerica Park, The Joe, and Hockey Town Cafe. Investing in the pizza business was not the bets idea back in the 1950's, but Mike had a feeling to follow through with it, and obviously paid off. At the end of the day, Mike Ilitch was a family man who became rich. He is selfless, and Detroit is going to miss him very much.
